Ano Karyofyto

Ano Karyofyto (Greek: Άνω Καρυόφυτο, previously known as Kozloutza) is a settlement and part of the municipality district of Karyofyto of the municipality Stavroupolis in the Xanthi prefecture of Greece (Longitude: 24° 39'56" E, Latitude: 41° 15'25" N). It is located north northwest of Stavroupolis and 39.9 kilometers southeast of Xanthi. In 1981, the population of the village was around 408 inhabitants. In 2001 the population had declined to 162 inhabitants.
