Anchangelos is a small village, population 345 in 2001, of the Zalongo municipality of Preveza. The village was founded after the Minor Asia catastrophe of 1922 by refugees from West Pontos. Archangelos is part of the Nea Sinopi district of Zalongo. Archangelos is 19 km north of Preveza, 97 km south of Igoumenitsa, 30 km west of Arta and 90 km southwest from Ioannina. Archangelos is 3 km from the Ionian Sea. North of Archangelos in a distance of 7 km is the historic hill of Zalongos and the ruins of the ancient city Kassopi. Towards the city of Preveza in a distance of 12 km was the ancient city Nikopolis.
Remains of a Roman Aqaeduct are near the village which was used for the supply of Nikopolis with water.
