Gra Lighia

Gra Lighia (or Gra-Ligia or Gra-Lygia) (Greek Γρα Λυγιά) is located approximately 5km west of Ierapetra in the east of the Greek island of Crete, in the prefecture of Lasithi.

The residents are called "GraLighiotes". They are occupied mainly in the agriculture sector. The village is surrounded by greenhouses, therefore GraLighiotes are usually called as "aggourades", from the greek word "aggouri" (αγγούρι - cucumber). There are a lot of immigrants from Bulgaria and Albania in Gra Lighia.

Gra Lyghia is part of the Ierapetra Municipality. The population was 1.201 in the year 2001.
