Ravenia Ravenia (Greek; Ραβένια) ist a mountain village (alt. 844 m) of the municipality of Agios Dimitrios in the Ioannina Prefecture. Population 181 (2001 census). Ravenia is 26 km from Ioannina. Initially the village was in a place called Paliomilos but was moved to another place called Bogdora due to geological changes in the Byzantine period. During the Ottoman period the place Bogdora was abandonded and the settlement moved to the current position. The village was destroyed by the Turks in the first world war, and by Italians in 1940. It is one of several villages that are called Katsaounochoria or Katsaounohoria (Κατσαουνοχώρια).
