Smari , Heraklion

Smari ( Σμάρι) is a small village in Crete, part of the Kasteli municipality, 25 km southeast of the city of Heraklion. Population 418 (2001).

Smari is a traditional cretan village with stone houses decorated with blue doors. The Acropolis of Smari, a pre-Minoan archeological site, is near the village.
