Vitalo or Vitala (Greek: Βίταλα) is an isolated small village nearby Kymi city, part of the Kymi municipality , in Euboea island, Greece. The word vitalo, in ancient aeolian language means bull, and it is possible that the word Italy derives from that word [1]. Nearby vitalo there is an isolated beach named nowadays Thapsa, which also reminds the Italian place Thapsos[2][3]. Vitalo and Thapsa are places protected from south winds and waves, and maybe they were used as alternative ports, by the ancient people of Kyme. They can be seen all together[4] in google maps. Vitalo (closer look) is in the left. Thapsa (closer look) port can be seen in the center, and Kyme (closer look) resides in the right place of the map[5]. Vitalo village is well known nowadays from its cherry.
