Ioannina Prefecture, Tymfi

Vrysochori or Vrysochorion (Greek: Βρυσοχώρι) is a village of the Tymfi municipality 75 km from Ioannina. It was mentioned first in the year 1295. It was called Liasintsa or Lesinitsa until 1927 it was renamed to Vrysochori. In the past , early 20th century, its population was more than 1600.

Some known persons of families from Vrysochori are John Cassavetes, son of Nikola Ioannis Cassavetes, Michael Dukakis the former presidential candidate of the United States, son of Euterpi Bouki-Dukaki from Larissa (her parents from Vrysochorion) and Panos Dukakis from Mytilene.
