Louvre Museum, Paris, France Artist/Maker Edmé Bouchardon (French, 1698–1762) Description Sleeping Satyr, copy made in Rome of the celebrated antique Barberini Faun, now in the Glyptothek of Munich. The statue was exhibited in public parks (Parc Monceau, Parc de Saint-Cloud, Luxembourg Gardens), thus the poor condition of the marble.
