Enispe

Enispe, Arcadian city

Men from Arcadia, from below- steep Mount Cyllene,
near Aepytus' tomb,  where men excel in combat
hand to hand, troops from Pheneus, Orchomenus,
rich in flocks, Rhipe, Stratie, windy Enispe,
Tegea, lovely Mantinea, Stymphelus,
Parrhasia—mighty Agapenor led these men,
Ancaeus' son, in sixty ships. Many Arcadians
came in each ship, skilled fighters. Agamemnon,
king of men, had himself provided well-decked ships
for them to sail across the wine-dark ocean,
for these men lacked expertise in matters of the sea.. Homer Iliad
