In Greek mythology, Epaphus, also called Apis, is the son of Zeus and Io. Epaphus is mostly known for founding the city of Memphis, Egypt. With his wife, named Memphis, he had one daughter: Libya. Hera (the wife and sister of Zeus) of was jealous of Zeus so she took him and eventually Io found Epaphus and they lived in Egypt where he founded the city of Memphis and then became Memphis' king.
