Halirrhotius

Halirrhotius (or Halirrhotios) (Ἁλιρρόθιος) in Greek mythology. was the son of Poseidon and Euryté .

When Halirrhotius raped Alcippe, Ares' daughter by Aglaulus, Ares murdered him. Ares was tried in a court, the first murder trial in history on the hill at Athens, which was hence called Areopagus, or Hill of Ares. He was acquitted.
