Hermes Ingenui

Statue of Hermes known as "Hermes Ingenui" after the inscription on the pedestal indicating the name of the sculptor or of the donor. Hermes wear his attributes: kerykeion (or herald's staff), lyra, petasus (round hat), traveller's cloak and winged temples. Roman artwork, 2nd century BC, copy from a Greek original, 5th century BC.
