Cape Apostolos Andreas

Cape Apostolos Andreas (Cape Saint Andrew) is the north-easternmost point (promontory) of the Mediterranean island of Cyprus (35°41.70′ N 34°35.20′ E) . It lies (at the tip of the finger-like Karpass Peninsula) inside the Turkish-Cypriot controlled sector of Cyprus (known to the Turkish Cypriot population as the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, which so far is only recognized as sovereign by one nation). The famous Apostolos Andreas Monastery is located just south of the promontory itself. It is listed by the United Nations as a World Heritage site.
