Kontea (Greek ) is a community of the District of Famagusta in the occupied region of Cyprus. Kontea is 21 km West of Famagusta. The population in 1960 was 1305, all Greek Cypriots. After the occupation of North Cyprus by the Turkish army all Greek Cypriots had to leave their village.
