Pyrgos Kallistis () or Pyrgos is a village c. 10 SE from Fira Santorimi. The village was known in the past as Kainourgiopyrgo ( "new fortress").

The village , part of the synonymous municipal district had a population 732 in 2001. Ormos Athinion is part of this district..

The fortress (Kastelli) had an entrance called Porta (gr. door) , below a part of the fortress (called Polemistra or Fonissa) from which heated oil could be used against those who tried to enter with force in the fortress.

The new buildings around the fortress build later are part of the village called Xoporta

Fires are burning in oil filled metal vessels distributed in the village during Good Friday.
