Domna Visvizi (1783-1850), Greek Wikipedia
Domna Visvizi (gr. Δόμνα Βισβίζη ) is called the Thracian Bouboulina. She was born in Ainos 1783/4. Together with her husband Hatzi-Antonis Visvizis she participated in the Greek war of independence. Antonis was the captain of the warship Kalomoira with 160 men, equipped with 16 cannons . She continued with her five children to support the revolution even after the death of Antonis Visvizis. He died during a battle although it is unknown whether he died from enemy fire or if he was killed by Greeks, opponents of Odysseas Androutsos. The Greek hero Emmanuel Papas died on the ship of Antonis Visvizis and his body was transfered to the island Hydra.
