He Panos Kolokotronis wanted to fight them and they killed him. This is the blood sacrifice of the Kolokotronis family for the freedom of Greece. Memoirs of Makryiannis Panos Kolokotronis (Πάνος Κολοκοτρώνης)(1800-1824) was the first born son of the Greek General Theodoros Kolokotronis. He was born in the island of Zakynthos while his father was serving there as a Major of the British Army. He fought along with his father in the greek war of independence and distinguished himself in many battles. in 1822 he married Eleni daughter of Laskarina Bouboulina. In 1824 he was murdered outside Tripoli on his way to Silimna to meet his father by order of the revolutionary government.
