Cosmote is the largest mobile operator in Greece and owns and operates a high capacity 3G and HSDPA network covering 99.6% of the Greek population, 95% of the Greek mainland and islands and 97% of Greece's territorial waters as of December 31, 2005. The company also has a presence in four other countries outside of Greece: in Albania, Bulgaria, FYROM and Romania. Cosmote subscriber numbers in Greece begin with the 3 digit prefix 697 and 698 (in the range 698100 to 698299, beginning April 2007) followed by a seven digit subscriber number, although due to the advent of number portability in Greece, it's possible for customers to take their number to another network with them. Cosmote's operating revenues for year 2006 amounted to € 2.382.3 billion and the company's EBITDA stood at € 876.2 million. In October 2003, COSMOTE launched on MYCOSMOSview its new service category "GAMES" including java games in color that offer impressive graphics and sound, such as X-men, Nemesis, Top Gun, Blackjack, Rayman Bowling etc. In 2007, the mobile operators' customer base exceeded 12.2 mln, a 38.3 pct increase from 2006, and is well on target to exceed 15 mln customers in 2009.
