Olympian Gods - Stamps

Hestia (Vesta)

Hestia (Vesta), the daughter of Kronos (Cronus) and Rhea, sister of Zeus and Hera, goddess of home and hearth and an eternal virgin. For this reason she is a goddess much less known than Athena or Aphrodite.

One of various interpretations is that these sculptures Parthenon East pediment are Hestia (or Leto ?), Dione with her daughter Aphrodite, 447-432 BC
