Debbie Matenopoulos

Debbie Matenopoulos (born December 13, 1974) is an American journalist, talk show host, and actress.

She was born in Richmond, Virginia, but is of Greek ancestry, and her birth name is Thespina Matenopoulos after her grandmother. This name was later "Americanized" to Debbie.

She attended the Virginia Commonwealth University for two years before transfering to the School of Journalism at New York University. While at NYU, she also worked at MTV. At the cable channel she gradually moved up the ranks, beginning as an intern and eventually becoming story coordinator for the show UnFiltered.

In 1997 she became a co-host on Barbara Walters's talk show The View, then left in 1999. (Some sources report that she was fired.) In 1999, she joined the TV Guide Channel. Debbie has played Lisa Swayzak in the 2000 film Endsville, and played a role in the 2001 movie Angryman. As of 2005 she is co-hosting the TV Guide Channel's show The Screening Room with Ken Taylor.

On July 5, 2003, she married Jay Faires, the president and founder of Mammoth Records.
