The Break-Up is a Universal Pictures film that was released on June 2, 2006. The Break-Up stars Vince Vaughn, Jennifer Aniston, Joey Lauren Adams, Jon Favreau, Ann-Margret, and Judy Davis. Plot Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. A bickering couple (Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston) live in a wonderful condo in Chicago, comfortably located within the confines of the Windy City. But ultimately, their disagreements cause them to both agree that they have to break up immediately. However, there's one thing that stands in their way: neither wants to give up living in the condo. So as it looks to be an ugly war of the sexes, both Brooke (Aniston) and Gary (Vaughn) might be fighting for more than just possession of where they live, but what might've kept them together for so long. In the end, both mutually agree to separate, selling the condo; he continues to lead a successful Chicago touring business while she travels the world, eventually finding her way back to Chicago. At the end of the movie, they meet again on the streets of Chicago- they separate yet again. Box Office The Break-Up grossed $13.8 million domestically[1] on its opening day.
