Miltos Sachtouris or Miltos Sahtouris (Greek: Μίλτος Σαχτούρης) (July 19, 1919 in Athens - March 29, 2005 in Athens) was a Greek poet. He was a descendant of Giorgos Sachtouris. He adopted the pseudonym Miltos Chrysanthis (Mίλτος Xρυσάνθης). Sachtouris (under his pseudonym) in 1941 where wrote his first poem I Mousiki Ton Nision Mou = The Music Of My Island Sachtouris recognized Niko Engonopoulos in 1943. He later worked with Engonopoulos on Ikaros. He began works and continued at Brazilian on Voukourestiou (Bucharest) Street along with Elytis, Sinopoulos, Vakalo, Papaditsas, Karouzos, etc. In 1960, he began publishing Otan sas Milo, Ta Fasmata I i Chara Ston Allo Dromo. Two years later, he received the Second State Poet Prize in 1962 for Ta Stigmata = The Stigmata. He later wrote Sfragida i Ogdoi Selini (1964) and To Skevos (1971) from the publishings of Keinema During his last years of his life, he worked on Chromotravmata (1980), Ektoplasmata (1986), Katavythisi (1990), Ektote (1996) and Anapoda Gyrisan ta Rologia (1998). He received the Grand State Literature Prize in 2003 for his works. He done another opening in 1992 in which his house in Kypseli by writer Lefteri Xanthopoulo for the documentary of Poioi Einai o Trelos Lagos. He died in Athens on a morning of Tuesday, March 29, 2005 There are also some translations of his work into English including Forgotten Woman. Works
