Nikos Dimou (b, 1935 in Athens) is a Greek writer and a broadcaster. He was a publisher and wrote in periodicals and newspapers. Biography He graduated from Athens College and studied French philosophy in Athens. From 1954 to 1960, he studied English philosophy at the University of Munich in Germany and already started to learn with writing. Dimou published his first book in 1953. In 1962, he moved on to work in commercials. In 1965, he founded his own company which rapidly became a leader in the Greek market. Other than the successful trading commercials, the company made it and for an initiatives (e.g. Den xechno for Cyprus). He withdrew in 1983 from an argument for exclusive occupation with writing. In 1979, Dimou published in periodicals including Epikaira, 4Trochoi, Tetarto (Quarter) and Fotografos (Photographer) and newspapers including To Vima, Kathimerini, Kyriakatiki Eleftherotypia and Ethnos tis Kyriakis. Dimou was the first Greek writer that was also a broadcaster. He later starred in the show Mia Tainia - Mia Syzitisi (A Movie - A Discussion). He returned in 1987 in a show Dialogoi in [[1987], Peripeteies Ideon (Ideal Adventures) in 1991, and Megales Parexigiseis in 1999. At the radio, he was a founding team of 98.4 FM. Later, he hosted Trito Programma on Era Radio. In energertics where he won two journalistic awards (Ipekch and Botsis). In 1997, he became an honorary citizen of Ermoupoli, his mother's hometown. Dimos was awarded the Dimitris Mitropoulos award in 2000. Dimou published over 60 books. Some of the most famous includes I Dystychia tou na Eisai Ellinas, Oi Neoi Ellines (The New Greeks), I Chameni Taxi (Η Χαμένη Τάξη), Apology enos Anthellina, etc. From several shows, is mentioned indicatively including Par' ola Afta (Παρ' όλα αυτά), Mikra Vimata (Μικρά Βήματα), To Imerologio tou Kafsona and Tolmires Istories (Τολμηρές Ιστορίες). Other philosophical works include To Apolyto kai to Tavli and Triptycho: Epikoinonia, Agapi, Eleftheria. Poetic books include To Vivlio ton Gaton, Poiimata 1950-1990 (Ποιήματα 1950-1990 = Poems 1950-1990) and Listes (Λίστες = Lists). The works still include essays:
