Paraskevas Karasoulos ( Παρασκευάς Καρασούλος ). Greek poet and lyricist, was born in Athens, Greece 15 August 1962. Many of his lyrics and poems are favourite and well-loved Greek songs, sung by a number of leading singers, to mention but a few: Dimitra Galani, Maria Dimitriadi, George Dalaras, Mario Frangoulis. The stamp of his particular place in the Greek music industry is the lyricism and poetically intensive atmosphere of his writings. He remains one of the important artists of the art-song (έντεχνο τραγούδι) genre in Greece. To date, a number of his songs have been published in two books:

Paraskevas Karasoulos is the founder and Managing Director of the Publishing and Record Company Mikri Arktos (specialising in books about artists and records of art–songs), publisher of the first online cultural magazine in Greece Hridanos.gr and Art Director of the "Festival in the Shade", a festival filled with cultural events of the Imittos borough of Athens. In addition, he founded the event Auditions Of New Artists (a mini Bienalle), on behalf of Mikri Arktos which is the first step for emerging artists (lyricists, composers and singers) to gain a public persona.
