Areti Ketime (b. 1990), Greek Αρετή Κετιμέ, is a young 'born musician' talent from Greece. Grown in a family originating from Asia Minor, she was soon closely connected to the traditional music, and she plays the santur since the age of 6. Since George Dalaras discovered her talent in 2002, she appeared in many concerts themed on traditional Greek music. Dalaras also produced her CD album 'To Tragoudi tis Aretis' ('Grace's Song') with 4 tracks the next year. Now at the age of 15, she is performing a broad spectrum of both Greek traditional music (singing and playing) and classical. Areti has acclaimed only positive reviews by critics and adueince alike, and has been repeatedly praised by Greek intellectuals. Her brilliant performance of a song, accompanying herself on the santur, at the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, along with her natural charm and an enchanting purity, was noticed by millions worldwide.
