Hypothesis is a 1978 album by the Greek artist Vangelis. The results of a jam session in 1971, Vangelis played several sessions in the London Marquee Studios, some of them together with the violinist Michel Ripoche, the bass guitarist Brian Odger and the drummer Tony Oxley. Not released until 1978, and without Vangelis' approval, he subsequently took the label to court to have the LP taken off the market. It has critically been considered to be unsuccessful as an album.
The cover artwork is by Angus McKie
