He signed his first professional contract with PAS Giannina. He joined Proodeftiki F.C. in 2002, and played for the club during the 2002–03 Alpha Ethniki season.[1]

In 2002, the scouters of Olympiacos found Tatsis and brought him to the team together with Anastasios Pantos and Thymios Kouloucheris. The three of them were thought as great talents who were responsible for the very good performance of Proodeftiki FC this year. Rumours have it that he was transferred to Olympiacos. Olympiacos did not spend much money on him. Ηe has to be remembered for the spectacular goal he scored against Bolton Wanderers F.C. at Reebok stadium during a summer friendly match that leveled the score for Olympiacos which was the peak of his carrier at the Pireaus team and his only international goal.
