Stefanos Kotsolis (Greek: Στέφανος Κοτσόλης, born May 6, 1979). Kotsolis joined Panathinaikos as an 18-year-old in 1997 and made sporadic appearances over his first five seasons at Panathinaikos. The imposing form of first-choice keeper Antonios Nikopolidis kept Kotsolis at bay for much of that time. Kotsolis, then the great hope of Greek goalkeeping, has waited patiently for an opportunity to break into the Panathinaikos first team, but Nikopolidis was always too good to be a second-choice. He made his Alpha Ethniki debut on 30 May 1999 for Panathinaikos. In 2005 he was transferred to Larissa where he made more than 100 appearances in total, playing there until June 2009. He was then transferred to Omonia. He was a national with Greece U-21 and the team captain at the 2002 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship. He is also a national with Greece senior team, making 4 appearances since 2005.
