Panteion University of Social and Political studies has a history of more than 75 years, thus being one of the oldest higher institutions of Greece. It is located in Athens in Leoforos Syggrou avenue. The university has about 15000 students and 250 members of teaching staff. It consists of 10 faculties. The university also has a bi-monthly student newspaper, named "Panteiaka Nea", founded in 1988 and recently revamped (as of December, 2006).
