Koniskos, Trikala


Another Trikala (Greek: Τρί

Koniskos (gr. Κονισκός ) is a small village in the Trikala prefecture with a population of 206 (2001). Koniskos is 28 km from Kalambaka and 39 km from the city Trikala. It is part of the Tymfees Municipality and the Kalambaka province.

The village is on a plateau (c. 700-800 m) with the river Ion (Mourganis)

The village was founded in its current place after an earlier settlement was destroyed by the Turks during the independence war.
