Philippos Constantinos

Filippos Constantinos was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1974 (but misled popular belief has it as 1977). He was born to be an artist and he started performing from childhood. He followed his dream of becoming an actor when he joined a drama school in Athens. He was short listed for the audition for the famous boy band 5ive. He was a backingvocalist in the Cyprus entry in the 1995 Eurovision Song Contest.

In 1999 he was chosen by the successful Cypriot composer, Georges Theofanous, to be a member in the first boy-band of Greece, ONE. ONE became very popular and commercially successful in Greece and Cyprus, reaching platinum sales. In 2002 Filippos participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn Estonia, with the band ONE representing Cyprus with the song “Gimme” and finishing in 6th place.
