Chavriata or Havriata (Greek: Χαβριάτα ) is a small, hill-top village located outside of the town of Lixouri in the Paliki municipality on the Greek Ionian island of Kefalonia. It is known as the "Balcony of the Ionian" owing to the commanding views it offers of both land and sea. It was severly destroyed during the Kefalonian earthquake of 1953. The majority of the population are farmers, producing olives and vegetables in the fields surrounding the village. The village has experienced emigration, particularly to Canada and the United States. The renowned 18th century Greek philosopher Vikentios Damodos (1700-1752) was born in the village and ran a school there.
Other Chavriata has an impressive 19th century church, The Assumption of Mary into Heaven (Greek Orthodox), and a square (plateia). The village's primary school closed in the late 1980s and children now attend school in Lixouri.
