Panoramic view of the city of Thessaloniki from the place Kranos of the Kedrinos Hill (Seich Sou) [Source] Kedrinos Hill (Κεδρηνός λόφος) is the forest between the two hills at Asvestochori and Panorama near Thessaloniki. Starting from a project of Prof. P Kontos and C. Georgopoulos in the year 1929 trees were planted in the region. In a period of 60 years 5 million trees were planted. The forest is known also as "Seich Sou" (Σέιχ Σου).
In 6-July 1977 a fire which lasted for 2 days destroyed 1/3 of the forest
