Nikolas Asprogenous (Greek: Νικόλας Ασπρογένους; born April 6, 1986) is a Cypriot football (soccer) goalkeeper currently under contract with AC Omonia FK Partizan Belgrade Asprogenous signed a professional contract with Belgrade, Serbia-based FK Partizan Belgrade of the Serbian Superliga in June 2004. He played a total in a total of 17 Serbian league matches in his career with the Serbian giants until his contract expired in 2007. In the 2006/07 season Asprogenis made a total of 16 appearances across all competitions - 12 matches in the Serbian league, 3 matches in the Serbian Cup and 1 match in the UEFA Cup. His European debut came in a 1-0 away loss to Rangers at Ibrox Stadium on December 14, 2006.[1] AC Omonia Nicosia He signed for Cypriot outfit Omonia Nicosia in May 2008. He will be pairing his teammate in the Cyprus national football team Antonis Georgallides. International career Asprogenis has been capped at the Under-17, Under-19, and Under-21 levels for Cyprus. He is the current "number 1" goalkeeper of the Cyprus Under-21 National Team, and has played all matches to date in the qualification stage of the 2009 UEFA European Under-21 Championship.[2].
