Ventzio, Grevena


Ventzio (Greek ) is a Municipality of Grevena prefecture

Area 323.28 km2.

An eartquake (MS = 6.6) occured in the region in 13 May 1995.

Exarchos

Knidi

Knidi is a mountain village (alt. c. 690 m), municipal district of Ventzio. Near Knidi remains from neolithic settlement were found (c. 7000 BC).

Pontini

Pontini is a mountain village (alt. c. 730 m). The name probably derived from Pontos, the place of the refuges coming to the village after the Minor Asia catastrophe (1922) and the following population exchange.

Sarakina

Sarakina is a mountain village (alt. c. 750 m)
