Zervi, Vegoritida

Zervi (gr. ) is a small village in Greece in the northwest of Pella Prefecture. Population:349 (2001). Zervi is part of the Vegoritida municipality. The history of the village is lost within the centuries. Rumors say that it had builded by Byzantine troops in order to defend Vegoritida from attacking invaders which were comming from the north. The village produces large amounts of cherries and peaches every summer and it is listed as one of the best fruit producers in Greece.
