Aliartos

Aliartos (Greek: ) is a municipality in the Boeotia Prefecture, Greece, west of Thebes. Population 6351 (2001).

Aliartos is named after Haliartus (gr Aliartos) of Greek Mythology, a son of Thersander. He was the founder of the city Haliartus, Pausanias 9.34.7, 8

Part of the fortification of the ancient city exist today.
