Kamvounia (Greece: ) is a municipality in the Kozani Prefecture, Greece. Population 2,257 (2001). The seat of the municipality is in Tranovalto (or Tranovalton). Kamvounia Satellite image Division of the municipality
Elati Elati is named after the fir tree forest surrounding the village. The village was known as Louziani in the past.. The monastery of Zavordas in the region was build by Saint Nikanor 1532/4, according to a legend its name derived from the words "Za Varda" (take it all) said by a Osman ruler to Nikanor who helped to save the life of his sick child. In 1872 there were 80 Greek families in Louziani, in 1901 127 families. The population was 751 in 1906, 29 more one year later. In 1933 the village was renamed to Elati. Lazarades Lazarades is 48 km from the city of Kozani, the citizens are mainly farmers. In 8th October 1912 in the battle of Lazarades the greek army was victorious against a turkish army (commemoration of this event each year).
