Livadero

Livadero (Greek: ) is a community in the Kozani Prefecture, Greece. Population 1645 (2001).

Livadero is a mountain village (alt. 980 m) around 56 km from Kozani and 80 km from Larissa. In the past was called Mokro, a bulgarian name for "liquid" (humid place) given probably in the 6th or 7th century. It was renamed to Livadero after a law required only the use of Greek names. The village was liberated from the Turks in 1912. Many left the village after the civil war.
