Lygia

Lygia

Lygia (Greek: Λυγιά) is a village part of the synonymous district of the municipality of Evrostini . Lygia is named after the plant Lygia or Lygaria (haste Tree, Chasteberry or Monk's Pepper : Vitex agnus-castus) which existed in the past in large quantities in the region. Lygia is 53 km NW from Corinth and 2 km ieast of Derveni. In the village is the church of Agios Spyridonas from 1886.

The Church of Agios Konstantinos is on the synonymous hill, there is also a sculpture of Varotsos.
