Meganissi is a Greek island immediately to the east-southeast of Lefkada and also a municipality (Δήμος Μεγανησίου).

Meganissi is between Lefkada and the prefecture of Aetolia-Acarnania. The name means big island because it is the largest of the surrounding small islands. The island has three villages, Katomeri (old Katomerion), Vathy and Spartochori (old Spartochorion). The island Skorpios known from its owner Aristoteles Onassis also is part of the municipality.
