Prefecture Trikala, Chasia Municipality

Chasia (Greek: ) is a municipality in the Trikala Prefecture, Greece. Population 3736 (2001). The seat of the municipality is in Asprokklisia.
The GR-6/E92 is to the south, the Via Egnatia (Igoumenitsa - Kozani - Thessaloniki - Alexandroupoli) runs through the mountain ranges with a couple of tunnels in which construction started in the late-1990s and continued until the mid-2000s and the GR-15 Kalambaka - Grevena - Siatista and runs in the east-central portion. Its length is approximately 40 km from east to west and its width is approximately 15 to 20 km from north to south. The Aliakmonas River flows to the northeast and is the starting point of the Pineios river which flows in the south, two rivers flows in the north.

The mountain range owes its name to two municipalities, one in the Grevena prefecture and the other in the Trikala prefecture.
