Vounargo (Greek, Modern: Βούναργο, Ancient/Katharevousa: -on), older form: Vonargon, is a town in the westcentral part of the prefecture of Ilia. It is the seat of municipality of Iardanos (Greek: Ιάρδανος). Vouanrgo is accessed by GR-9 about 3 km west. The hills are to the noeth and northwest. The location SE of Amaliada, S of SSW of Patras, SW of Simopoulo, WNW of Olympia, Greece Olympia, NW of Pyrgos and about 16 m NE of Katakolo.

Geography
Vounargo is surrounded by olive and other types of groves along with pastures and mixed farming. The mountains with forests and several mountaintops and valleys lies to the north and to the northwest. Much of the mountains are forested. A mining area which is situated north of Vounargo is presently abandoned.
