Konistres (Greek: Κονίστρες) is a municipality in Euboea, Greece. Population 4077 (2001). Konistres emanates from the ancient word "Konistra".Konistra means palaistra (in Greek), which is a wrestling pitch.

Koili

Koili (older form Koilion) is a village in central Euboea, 12 km from Kymi. Near the village is the river Manykiatis. In the village are the ruins of a Venetian castle. Its material was used to build the church of Agios Nikolaos. The population in 2001 was 130. The village has 4 churches.
