Cleochares (or Gr. Kleochares), the son of Bion, musician composer of hymns dedicated to Apollo (After Delphi was attacked by the Gauls)

An inscription found in Delphi :

Resolution of the city of Delphi: Since the Athenian song-composer Cleochares, son of Bion, has written for our god Apollo a prosodium, paean and hymn for the use of the boys' choir at the sacrificial festivities, the city council has resolved that the municipal conductor of the choir sall study these songs and perform them every year. And in order to show how the city honors those who write something worthy of the God, Cleochares shall be praised for his piety and for his devotion to the city, and he shall be crowned with a laurel wreath, as is the custom at Delphi. He shall also be an honored guest of the city, and he and his descendants shall have the right of presiding at the oracle and court of justice; he shall enjoy special privileges, like asylum, full exemption from taxes, and other rights due to the guest-friends and benefactors of the city.
