Cleomedes

Cleomedes (gr. Kleomedes), an Athenian, son of Lycomedes, was one of the commanders of the expedition against Melos in 416 BC . He is mentioned also by Xenophon as one of the 30 tyrants appointed in 404 BC. (Thuc. v. 84, &c.; Xen. Hell. ii. 3. § 2.) Schneider's conjecture with respect to him (ad Xen. l. c.) is inadmissible.
, a cynic philosopher, the disciple of Metrocles, wrote a work on education (Paidagogikos), which is quoted by Diogenes Laërtius (vi. 75, 95).
