Gaius Julius Callistus


Gaius Julius Callistus was a Greek freedman of the Emperor Caligula. He was involved in his killing. In the reign of Claudius he was appointed treasurer. Through Claudius he became powerful, wealthy and influential. Callistus' daughter was a mistress to Caligula.
