Melas

In Greek Mythology Melas is

A son of Poseidon born in Chios. His mother was a nymph whose name is unknown. He was a brother of Angelus
(Pausanias 7 c 4)

A son of Phrixus and Chalciope, his wife was Eurycleia, the mother of Hyperes. (Apollod. i. 9. § 1; Apollon. Rhod. ii. 1158 ; Schol. ad Pind. Pyth. iv. 221.)

A son of Porthaon and Euryte, and brother of Oeneus. (Hom. Il. xiv. 117 ; Apollod. i. 7. § 10 ; comp. Oeneus and Tydeus.)
