In Greek Mythology Petraeus (gr. Petraios) is
- one of the centaurs who figures at the wedding of Peirithous. (Hes. Scut. Herc. 185; Ov. Met. xii. 330.)
- a surname of Poseidon among the Thessalians, because he was believed to have separated the rocks, between which the river Peneius flows into the sea. (Pind. Pyth. iv. 246, with the Schol.)
