Lefkonas (Greek: ) is a village , population 2136, part of the synonymous municipality of the Serres Prefecture, Greece. with a population 3897 (2001).

Area of the municipality 56.19 km2.

The municipality was formed according to the Kapodistrias plan in 1997. Lefkonas was called in the past as Kavakli,

  • Kala Dendra / Δ.δ. Καλών Δένδρων -- τα [ 1356 ]
  • Kato Christos / Δ.δ. Χριστού -- ο [ 405 ]

Kala Dendra is a village, municipal department of Lefkonas. Its name Kala Dendra mentioned in a 1465 document means Nice Trees assumed to be due to a forrest near it in the past.

Kato Christos in named after a church dedicated to Christ the Savior.
